Louisiana State University’s Pennington Biomedical Research Center is conducting a clinical trial to evaluate how GLP-1 medications regulate body weight, according to The Reveille. The study aims to make these medical treatments more effective for weight loss. [1]
The Reveille reported that the trial, named DIP or Dual Intervention point, focuses on monitoring body weight regulation. The researchers are recruiting human participants between the ages of 18 and 40. [1]
According to The Reveille, study volunteers can receive up to $1,500 in compensation. In addition, individuals who are not selected for the trial can request copies of their lab work and body composition scan results, dietitian and participant coordinator Kelsey Maguire noted. [1]
Research into targeted health interventions can improve efficiency and care accessibility, as FTMQ Health reported earlier regarding screening programs. [2]
